Erick Rivas // Experience
My name is Erick Rivas! I have been serving in a local church in various capacities since the age of 12. Since that age, I have felt a call to pursue full-time ministry.
At the age of 21, I stepped fully into that calling by traveling as a musician with a group of missionaries from YWAM called the Circuit Riders. After having the privilege of serving the Lord by traveling all over the U.S., I came back home and applied to the Residency Program at Emmanuel.
Having been a worship musician for many years, I was led to apply for the Worship Resident position. However, God led the Resident Director to place me in the Experience Resident position, which has allowed me to discover other gifts that God has given me. As I began serving and learning at Emmanuel Salisbury, God opened a door to allow me to apply what I had been learning as Emmanuel Fruitland's Experience Resident. While I continued to grow as a leader at Emmanuel Fruitland, I was able to explore my gifting in relationship building and teaching as I assisted in the growth of the church and connected people to serve teams and ministry opportunities that fit their giftings. After serving in Fruitland for almost a year, I was given the opportunity to serve as the Campus Director at Emmanuel Crisfield. God continues to challenge me to become all that He has created me to be as I pursue my calling to be a pastor and world changer.
