VOLUNTEER

God designed us to serve one another.

That’s why we encourage you to volunteer on a serve team.

See below for our available serving areas:

We’re committed to helping children learn who Jesus is, to know that God created them, & to be reminded that Jesus wants to be their friend forever. This means providing a loving, safe, & nurturing environment from infancy through pre-K. We welcome families & assist with check-in, comfort infants, teach toddlers how to pray, help older toddlers learn Bible verses, & lead them in Bible-based crafts & activities.

Making an impact at this foundational age is not only meaningful—it’s truly transformative. The seeds of faith planted in these early years can shape a child’s understanding of God for a lifetime, & you could be part of that! Serving here is both joyful & fulfilling. You won’t be doing it alone—everything you need is provided, from curriculum to supplies to support from experienced leaders who will guide you along the way. All that’s needed is your willingness to say “yes” & step into what God can do through you. As you serve, you’ll also discover a genuine sense of community. Our team is more than just volunteers—we are a family that encourages one another, prays together, & builds lasting friendships. Many who join for the children stay because of the relationships, the shared mission of His Kingdom, & the joy that comes from serving the next generation side by side.

Ekids is one of the fastest-growing ministries at Emmanuel, and it’s an exciting place to make a lasting impact in the lives of children. Our goal is to help kids, in kindergarten through 5th grade, build a strong foundation of faith, learn Scripture, and develop godly character as they grow from elementary students into confident preteens and teenagers who know and love God.

Volunteers help create a welcoming environment by greeting and checking in families, leading small groups, teaching Bible lessons, helping with activities and games, and encouraging kids each Sunday. Whether you love teaching, connecting with kids, or simply helping things run smoothly, there is a place for you on the Ekids team!

Embrace is a ministry for children with unique abilities. Every person is deeply valued and uniquely created in God’s image. By serving in Embrace you are helping provide an inclusive, Christ-centered experience where all children can grow in their faith, participate fully in church life, and find a place to belong.

Middle and High school students meet at One Youth every Sunday at 11am. Volunteers in this ministry have a passion for helping young people grow in their faith and community. Serving on this team may be providing a security, hanging out with students, or playing games.

The media team helps all our audio and visual tech run for in-house and online services. We believe that we serve people best when we achieve excellent production value and clear online broadcast. Serving in media is working a camera, a soundboard, or a computer; we meet for an early Sunday morning rehearsal, but there’s usually snacks. You don’t have to be a pro. We are happy to teach!

Worship ministry is a skilled team of musicians and singers who prepare and lead the worship portion of our Sunday services. We hold auditions many times throughout the year. If you have a gift and passion for music, this may be an opportunity for you.

The Experience Team are the first people to greet guests at Emmanuel Church. Our team welcomes visitors with a smile, helps first-time guests find their way around, serve people coffee, provide information, and lead people through next steps toward Jesus. Serving on this team looks like directing traffic, pouring coffee, holding a door with a smile, giving informational materials, and making someone feel welcome.

Each of us were created for community beyond the Sunday morning experience.  Groups are one of the best ways to connect with other believers at Emmanuel.  Group leaders create an intentional and safe space for people to grow relationally with one another, spiritually in the study and discussion of God’s Word together, and in support of one another through difficult seasons of life.  A Group Leader gets to decide how frequently their group meets and what the focus of their group will be (a dad group, women’s group, prayer group, marriage group, etc.).  Groups meet in homes, coffee shops, or in the church meeting rooms.  If you have the gift of gathering, encouraging, and growing in faith with others—this may be the opportunity for you!
